Welcome to Ceridwen English Tuition! I'm Dr Rebecca Jones, and I provide one-to-one, pair, and small-group online tuition in English language, literature, creative writing, and English as a second/foreign language to teen and adult learners. I offer tuition in Scotland, where I'm based, throughout the United Kingdom, and around the world.
I combine doctoral-level subject expertise, exam board and curriculum knowledge, and over seven years of tutoring experience to offer an approach that's collaborative, constructive, and creative. My focus is on providing practical insight while developing learner independence and helping students achieve goals in ways that aren't always possible in larger group settings. My tuition philosophy is centred on the learner as individual—whatever grade or outcome you're aiming for, I provide strategic, tailored support to help you realise your full potential.
Take a look around to find out more about who I am and what I do. I'm always happy to chat, without obligation, about your tuition needs.
"What we particularly value is Rebecca's thoughtful and structured approach. She prepares carefully, responds to our daughter's individual needs, and gives her practical tools she can apply in school assessments, while also encouraging her to take real ownership of her learning."

Seamless technology: tuition sessions are delivered via secure links and include features such as interactive whiteboards and document sharing to enhance simplicity and efficiency.
Flexible and comfortable: students learn from the comfort of home, without added travel stress, using the modern digital tools they'll encounter in academic and professional workspaces.
Transparent communication: parents of students under eighteen receive regular, direct progress updates, while university students and other adult learners benefit from clear session action plans.
I've lived in beautiful Scotland for twenty-five years now, but I was born and grew up in South Wales. In Welsh folklore, Ceridwen (/kɛrˈɪdwɛn/) is the keeper of the cauldron of poetic inspiration, wisdom, and transformation (called 'Awen'). I believe that all quality education is both inspiring and transformative. Whatever your reasons for working with me, my tuition approach will always be focused on helping you to unlock your curiosity and reach your goals.
